Self-effulgent Prakasa tattva rupa Siva is the Sun; His undifferentiated and

inseparable principle of Vimarsa is the Rays of the Sun. Just as the Sun with

the help of his rays makes the objects visible to our eye, so as the Prakasa

tattva which is the Substratum with His Vimarsa Sakti inspires every Jiva. The

upaska who abides in the bhavana of *Sivoham* ie., meditation and contemplation

of that Prakasa rupa Siva to be himself, such a bhavana is said to be the

*sAmAnyarghya*.

In Navavarana Archana, samanyarghya, vishesha arghya, vardhani kalasa sthapana

form an important aspect of Bahir Yaga Krama.

Having contemplated the Prakasa & Vimarsa tattva in the hridaya padma, the

upasaka contemplates this principle to be dispelling the darkness of Ignorance.

Such a contemplation in hridaya which removes the veil of Ignorance is *Yaga

Mandira Pravesha*.

Thus, having entered in such a Yaga Mandira, the Upasaka contemplates on the

Siva Tattva with the bhavana of *Sivoham*. Such a bhavana in his *hridaya

padma* is the *tripura upasana*.
