The Kamakala having four components Ravi, Agni, Chandra & Yoni represents the 4

tattvas namely: Atma tattva, Vidya tattva, Siva tattva and the samashti tattva

of these three tattvas collectively which is called Turiya or anAkhya tattva.

These 4 tattvas are to be contemplated while performing the agni, surya,

chandra, brahma kala nyasas as a part of bahirmatrika nyasa; vaikhari, madhyama,

pashyanti & para matrikas collectively (samashti)

as well as individually (vyashti).

The rahasya of ashta (8) vagdevata nyasa is described here.

The upasaka has to dissolve his sukshma (subtle) puryashtakas in *Chit*.

The sukshma puryashtakas are:

chitta, chetya, chaitanya karmendriyas, jnanendriyas, karmendriyas, jiva, kala,

sarira

The sthula puryashtakas are:

karmendriyas, jnanendriyas, pancha pranas, pancha bhutas, antahkarana

chatushtaya,

avidya, kama, karma

Here Arghya Samskara and Pitha Nyasas are descirbed.

The ArghyapAtrAdhara Pitha, Arghya pAtra & Arghya are to be contemplated as

Agni, Ravi & Chandra. The 4th principle called Turiya has to be contemplated

here which is the Source of these 3.

These 3 principles are again correlated with Tattva Traya, Dhama Traya & Matrika

Traya. The 4th one which is Turiya is the Samashti Tattva of all these 3.

The *trika* or the Triad tattva, dhama & matrika are dissolved into the

respective Samashti Turiya Tattva of pAda, pAtra, paramAmrita trika. This sort

of laya prakriya or dissolution into the Turiya Tattva of Samashti Trika is the

*Arghya Samskara*.

Note:

1) Tattva Traya includes:

a) Atma tattva (31 principles from Prithivi to Maya out of 36 principles) b)

Vidya Tattva (Shuddha vidya, Ishwara, Sadasiva tattva)

c) Shiva Tattva (Sakti & Siva) d) The samashti tattva of these 3 is Turiya /

Nirupadhika Tattva

2) Dhama Traya includes:

a) Pashyanti vak b) Madhyama vak c) Vaikhari vak d) The samashti of these is

Para Vak

Pitha Nyasa :

Chitta, Ahamkara, Buddhi, Manas are the 4 pithas of Chit. The laya or

dissolution of these 4 vrittis in the Hridaya Akasa / Dahara Akasa is the *Pitha

Nyasa*.

(This is a sort of repetition of the above sloka but a bit elaborate)

As per the Srividya Sampradaya, the Tattva, Dhama & Matrika are categorized into

3 each respectively. The 4th state is the Turiya tattva which is beyond these

*Trika*.

The arghya samskara / shodhana is to:

Contemplate the aspect of Arghya pAtrAdhAra, Arghya pAtra, paramAmrita with each

of the category of Trika respectively.

All the 36 principles have to be contemplated as identical with the Nava Trikona

Sriyantra as per the *Samhara Krama* from Bhupura to Bindu Sthana. By

contemplating these 36 principles to identical with the Sriyantra, the Upasaka

has to contemplate the *Samvidi Kala* to be himself.

Note: The bhavana of *aham iti eva vibhavaye bhavanim* is the rahasya here.

mAta (jnAta), mEya (jnEya) & mAna (jnAna) is the triputi. Among these, jnAta is

non-different from the paramatma chaitanya. This Chaitanya through the upadhis

of sadhaka is reflected in the external world thereby making the sadhaka / Jiva

Bahirmukha (Extrovert). The sadhaka becoming antarmukha, has to bring back the

antahkarana chatushtaya, jnana / karma indriyas to the Source ie., back to the

Chaitanya.

This act of bringing back to the source is *Avahana* of Tripurasundari.

In the forthcoming slokas, Shri Amritanandanatha explains the rahasyas of

Panchopachara, Nithi Nitya Puja, Navavarana Puja etc.
