Guest guest
Chidvilasa Stavah **************************** tIrtha madvaya sudhArasodadhir vAritam nijavimarshavElayA ANavAdimalamochanochitam snAnamatra vidhina nimajjanam //.............3 The union of prakasa and vimarsa tattvas are imagined as Pavitra Sudha Sagara. Thid pavitra sudha sagara is the *Ocean of Immortality* which is compared with Sacred Tirtha. The upasaka having undergone srividya diksha from a satguru hailing from *Sat-sampradaya*, observes the daily ablutions of Srividya like Snana, Sandhya etc. In this process, the upasaka cleanses his mala traya ie., ANava, kArmaNa and mAyA mala (dirts). Contemplation on the principles of prakasa & vimarsa is the real dip in the sacred waters which is called *tirtha snana* and cleansing of mala trayas is the real snana (ritualistic bath by the upasaka). Note on 3 malas (dirt): 1) ANava mala: Siva with pancha kanchukas forgets *His Own Self*, thus becomes Jiva. Siva becomes Jiva. This is ANava mala (aNu = Jiva) 2) mAya mala : Siva is trapped in 5 sheaths thus becomes Jiva. They are mAyA, kalA, vidyA, rAgA, kAla, niyati. The state of Jiva-hood alongwith these 5 kanchukas is mAyA mala. 3) kArmaNa mala: This Siva who is trapped in 5 kanchukas (sheaths) is called Jiva. Such an entangled Jiva, under the influence of his antah karana pravritti (manas, buddhi, chitta, ahankara), becomes extrovert (bahirmukha) and performs the pravritti karma (actions) and thereby gets entangled in Samsara and Karma Bandhana. This state is called kArmaNa mala. Only such a srividya upasaka who is able to cleanse these 3 dirts, is said to be Shuchih (Clean) having undergone Pavitra Tirtha Snana Vidhi which is the anusandhana or contemplation of Prakasa, Vimarsa and Guru Tattvas. ////////////////// to be continued ///////////////////////// with regs, sriram
