Guest guest
There are 4 chief components in Srividya ie., Guru (dIkSha guru), Mantra (panchadasi), Devata (tripurasundari) & Atma (upasaka). Among these 4 components, there is a common underlying principle. In other words, the same *utkriShTa tattva* when takes the mAnava sarIra becomes Guru; the same *utkriShTa tattva* when takes the form of nAda becomes the mantra; the same *utkriShTa tattva* when takes the form of mAya-sabaLa-brahma becomes devata; the same *utkriShTa tattva* shines as antarAtma in the hridya akasa of the Jiva. This sort of chaturvidha-aikhya-bhAvana of Guru, Mantra, Devata & Antaratma is called as *Srividya Upasana* (vide reference Saubhagya Bhaskara of Shri Bhaskararaya Makhin). The *visualization* and *experience* of such unified principle among these 4 components is the *Srividya Upasana Siddhi*. To such a Srividya Upasaka Siromani, after having experienced his *prArabha karma*, sheds his mortal coil and leaves for Manidwipa - the above of Tripurasundari never to return back to this mundane world. In other words, such a siddha purusha is a Jivanmukta who would not be born again. So, the slokas of uttara bhaga were directed to such an upasaka siromani who contantly reflects on the chaturvidha-aikya and abide in the *utkriShTa tattva* which is *Parasiva Tattva*. Now, the statements like: " After engaging in the worship of vishnu for thousand lives, one gets the Siva Bhakti; after engaging in the worship of Siva for thousand lives one get the bhakti for Devi " may be arthavAda like other sectarian puranas that state regarding their respective devatas. Since, Brahmanda Purana describes the divine sport of Tripurasundari, this may hold valid for a Shakta but is taken with a pinch of salt and pepper by a Vaishnava. So, having been initiated in panchadasi, worship of sriyantra, chanting of LS one is not qualfied to be called as Srividya Upasaka, per se, in the strictest sense. But, nevertheless, to start the journey, this IS the way to go about. Parasurama Kalpa Sutra categoriizes such upasakas in the chapter *Srividya Diksha Vivechana* Such an *initiated devaduttas* who are far from such aikya bhavana should bear in mind that they are still *tarunas* (vide refer Parasurama Kalpa Sutra) and still have a long way to go. Unless this *taruNa* becomes *prauDha*, the antarmukhopasana is not possible. Unfortunately, this taruNa category of Srividya Dikshitas having undergone padukanta dikshas are initiating the disciples in srividya whose state can be described with the popular saying *a blind leading another blind*. Also, Kalpa Sutra stresses on *eka guru upAsti* & *sat-sampradAya*. There should be only one guru in srividya who should hail from sat-sampradaya. iti shrI chanDI bhakta pAda reNu....
