Guest guest
Dear elders I have heard from a few srividhya upAsakAs about being initiated into the manthra without being given the nyasa of that manthra by the guru. A few of them have been told, you can take it from any book, or not required for this particular manthra etc. Leaving aside those cases where the Guru has told it is not required: Is it proper to chant the manthra without doing the initial nyasa( karAnga nyAsa,lamithyAdi pooja etc) during the nityajapa? Is this a prescription more as a ApathkAla japa? Is there any particular text to take the nyAsAs from? Kindly request guidance pl sri hari Gopi
Guest guest
all mantras should be taken from the guru including nyasa. " Abhikukath avalambhya " is the dictum, which means face to face.
