Guest guest
Dear All, I thought I will give a small write-up about one of the greatest works about the jagadjanani, Abirami amman (in Thirukadaiyur). More on Abirama pattar can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abirami_Pattar Abirami pattar was amongst the greatest Abirami upasakas, unfortunately, many of the common people could not understand his love for the mother. For those of us who have no formal training and understanding of Sanskrit and hence cannot grasp the Soundarya Lahari, there is a great work of Abirama pattar called " Abirami Andhadi " - I have heard from people that this is as powerful and as deep as the soundarya lahari (the verses are written in beautiful tamil). Of course, you need to know Tamil properly to read this great work. The Tamil members of the group do realize that the meaning of andh-adhi (in poetic form) is that the starting word of every stanza is the ending word of the previous stanza. Please do read this great work on ambal when you can. Cheers, Raghav
