How did you hold it in your hand ? Was it a ripe jamboo fruit or a herbal medicine to keep in the mouth? To wear in your neck, Is it an ornament made of blue gems ? Oh! Supreme God! Tell us. *Commentary *Aum Hey! Parameswara! By your aalaahala paanam you have proved that you indeed are the ParamporuL who is the root cause of srishti, sthithi and layam. Moreover, “Yathksheeraambhudhi manyanOdhbhava mahaa haalaakala bheekaram Drushtvaa thathra palaayithaan suragaNaan naaraayaNaadeesthathaa | Ya: peethvaa paripaalayajjagadhidham viswaadhikam shankaram Sevyadhvam sakalaapadha: pariharan kailaasavaasee vibhu: || At the sight of the fiercely terrible and blistering kaalakoota visham that came from the churning of the milky ocean, all the devas including Narayana whose dharma is to perform loka rakshaNam ran helter-skelter, but you, Hey! Parameswara! looked at it as if it was the cool moon! And surprisingly you held that terrible poison in your hand as if it was a naaval pazham! Did you want to give it to your son Ganesa who loves naaval pazham? And wonder of wonders! You placed this horrible poison on your tongue. Tell me, did you think it was a siddha lehiyam?
