Guest guest
It is a waste of food and other items which could have quenched the hunger of so many, their jataragni would be very happy to receive and digest. Do you think that the energy of God has any vastra or yagyopavita? None. In reply to the aforesaid observation : When some rationalist argued before few years during a Satsanga conducted by Sri Balakrishna Sastrigal, that instead of spending so much for the discourses on the scriptures, a hospital could have been very well built,to this sastrigal promptly replied that while the rationalist was working on curing the disease,he was involved in preventing the disease which would have the effect of reduction in the number of hospitals. The message is very clear and need no further explanation to the observation made by the author. In the Chandi Homa, the agni when installed as per the procedures of tantra the agni transforms to Chandi-agni (lalithagni in case of Lalitha homa ) having a nama and rupa. We are not talking about a nirguna Brahman but a Saguna Brhaman and when it is so, offering of abharana, vastra Ambaaji are all very relevant . Guest guest
well said, for nirgunopasana there is no need to perform chandi homam. And just to elaborate on the point, all yagams are followed by annadhanam without which it is incomplete. as given in mahAnArAyanOpanishat for a nirgunopasaka the following verse is sufficient " tasyaiva.n vidushho yaj~nasyaatmaa yajamaanaH shraddhaa patnii... " there is no need to perform kAmya karmas such as chandi homam. However Saguna upasana is very very importantfor the rest of us, if there is no rain we need the hope that varuna japam will work or performing a maharudram will absolve our sins or chandi homam will provide the fruits mentioned in the phala sthuthi regards Vishwam ________________________________ ganapathy = = vijaya <srividya101 ambaaal Thu, December 17, 2009 6:16:48 AM Homa Dravyas It is a waste of food and other items which could have quenched the hunger of so many, their jataragni would be very happy to receive and digest.
