If the visualisation is about the offered, then even when you have the item

offered ( like dhoopam, dheepam) or in in the appropriate places

This is not a mail about any technicality of Avarana Puja.

 

In any puja when Kalpayami is used, it is about Idealistic state though there

could be a Physical aspect which need not Match the idealistic one.

 

In SL shloka 66 Ambaa is listening to music recital. But whose ? It is

Sarasvathi Devi Herself playing the Veena and singing at the same time. Imagine

Sarasvathy is Herself singing literary pieces set to music and playing the Veena

at the same time. She is kala Vaani the presiding deity of all Arts.

 

Let us assume another scene in this earthly dimension and after the puja to

Ambaaji we start the upacharas and when it comes Vadyam,let us think THE BEST

ARTIST plays the Veena as part of Vadyam Kalpayami. Even though this artist is

at her Best to the best of her ability,can she atleast equal the Vaani.

Definitely Not.

 

Therefore it is important to express it in form of atleast Bhavam and that is

the reason I think we have to say Kalpayami.

PS : despite the Best performance What happened to saraswathi when ambaa started

to speak. ...... Saraswathy having observed that the melodious strains of the

strings of the Veena were disgraced by the sweetness of the words that Ambaa had

just begun to speak (SL - 66 ).

 

In the earthly dimension when there is applause the musician feels elated and

delighted and the EGO gets a further boost.

It is because the devotee has no capacity to offer the neivedhyam mentally, as

he wants to consume the same as prasad, forgetting the aspect that if God were

to eat the neivedhyam, She would not be offered these physically. Where is the

place for argument. it depends upon one's mental attitude and accepting as they

come into his heart. if you want to offer neivedhyam physically do it and if not

do not do it.
