Guest guest
Dear Ganapaty Mamaji, Please proceed ahead. No need for looking back when the grace of Rajam Mami and Kanchi Mahaperiyaval is behind you. It is coming out beautifully. Just a side note on Kurukulla Swarupa. Though i posted this in my old mail, since the deity Kurukulla has come again, it is just a reiteration of mine for the purpose of manana. **************** kurukulla / kurukUlya / kulakUlya / gurukUlya are taken to be the synonym words where the abheda bhavana is considered between " k " & " g " . Shri Vaidyanatha Dikshitar in his Chandrikakhya while explaining the name *kurukulla*, refers the deity as *kurukUlya* and ascribes the name to the deity that helps the aspirant in crossing the river of samsara by residing near Sushumna Marga. Incidentally, the Kurukulla is meditated as seated on boat of gems and also as the deity of deliverance. The deity is stated to reside near sahasrara at sushumna. There is also another hidden meaning for *kula* which means *sushumna marga alongwith shat-chakras*. So, kulakUlya also has another meaning which implies that *she is the way or the path to ascend the sahasrara chakra which is the guru-sthana through kula marga or sushumna marga*. This devi is the presiding deity of the very subtle nerve centre near the sahasrara. Linguistically it is derived from " Guru Kulya " . Kulya is the channel / chute. Guru is the Kameshwara-Kameshwari Saamarasya Swarupa. Guru Kulya implies that she is the channel / path / chute to reach the Guru Sthana. It's bhavana is near 8th Avarana. Unless, Kurukulla paves the way, the Kundalini is blocked and can't reach the Bindu / Guru Sthana. She presides over Vimarsha Vapika near Chintamani Gruha. kulakUlyA Temple at Orissa : There is a shrine near Kusinagar in Orissa which was established by Acharya Nagarjuna. Amidst the dense forest called kUlakulasthAna, there is a deity dedicated to kulakUlya. This is the bhairavi here and the bhairava is said to be KUlakuleshwaranatha. This is said to be the same deity Kurukulla in Lalitha Sahasranama and in Bhavanopanishad. This shrine is situated at the bank of the crossing of 2 streams. Since, kUlya means stream and kula means bank, the name *kulakUlya* stuck here. *********************** with regards, sriram , ganapathy = = vijaya <srividya101 wrote: > > Thanks to Sri Shreedhar for the Mool. > > > > > tasya pR^iShadashvayojanadUre.aha.nkAra sAlamati tuN^gam.h . > vande tayoshcha madhye kakShyA.n valamAnamalayapavamAnAm.h .. 93 .. > > > > 93 ) From there at 7 yojanas the lofty Fort of Ego ( Ahankara Maya) , the Fort of Intelligence ( Buddhi Maya ) and the space filled with Breeze to which I pray. > > > vinumo vimarshavApI.n sauShumna sudhAsvarUpiNI.n tatra . > velAtilaN^ghyavIchI kolAhalabharita kUlavanavATIm.h .. 94 .. > > > 94 ) Let us pray to the " VIMARSHA VAAPI " where the Amrutha leaches through the Shushumna to Brahmarandra. --- The Shushmna is said to be filled with water amidst forests where the Waves are striving to cross the Border of forests > > Unquote : > > I tried combining these two statements but found it difficult as the meanings get changed if I try to weld both these ideas. welcome Suggestions / Recommendations. > > tatraiva salilamadhye tApi~nchadala prapa~ncha suShamAbhAm.h . > shyAmaLa ka~nchukalasitA.n shyAmAviTabimbaDambaraharAsyAm.h .. 95 .. > > 95 ) In the Vimarsha Vaapi is the " KURU KULLA DEVI " bearing the resemblance of the tender Green Leaves.
