Guest guest
Dear Ganapathyji, Just a side note: Father's name of Seshadri Swamigal is Kamakoti Sastrigal who had composed many kirtanas on Devi Kamakshi. One such song is soul-stirring that defines the Kamakala tattva of Devi Kamakshi. BTW, when i saw the name of the great yogi Ramsurat Kumar, i thought of sharing a divine experience of my gurunatha at Arunachala. My gurunatha & gurupatni were performing the giri pradakshina chanting the divine name " arunachala siva " . My gurupatni was a chronic asthma patient from childhood. So, she had great difficulty in doing giri pradakshina and quite often she had to take rest because of breathing problem. My gurunatha used to give moral support to her and finally completed the pradakshina which took around 7 hrs. Next day, my gurunatha thought of again going for pradakshina. But owing to the heavy breathing problem of my gurupatni, he had to cancel the pradakshina. That same night, Shri Yogi Ramsuratkumar just barged inside the room where guruji was resting. Yogi Ramsuratkumar had a strange habit of smoking cigarettes & cigars. His Holiness just barged in and asked my gurupatni to smoke his cigar which was already smoked by him. Hailing from traditional, orthodox brahmin family, my gurupatni refused to take the cigar that too an ucchista one from a male. My gurunatha was observing this entire phenomenon and gave a positive nod to his wife to smoke the cigar. My gurupatni took it and smoked the entire cigar. Yogi Ramsuratkumar blessed my gurupatni saying " Lord Rama will bless you " . Saying so, disappeared from the room. That night, Gurupatni slept peacefully and the next morning she was hale & hearty and all her asthma symptoms just vanished in thin air. My gurunatha & gurupatni performed 7 giri pradakshinas in 3 days. Since then she never faced the breathing problem in her life. Such is the grace of Yogi Ramsuratkumar. Glory to the Divine Hill Arunachala. Glory to Mother Apithakuchamba. regs, sriram , ganapathy = = vijaya <srividya101 wrote: > > Namasthe. > > This is a copy and paste from Shiv_sena . This is a copy and paste from Shiv_sena . From his Biography I learnt the importance of Kamokaresheet Mnatra Japa which Swamygal said, is a sure fire for burning the Karmas and Pujya Swamygal used to this Chant always, during his satay at Kaanchi. Seshadri Swamigal was born in the Kamakoti family that had been brought from the banks of the Narmada and settled in Kanchi (one of the seven holy places ['Sapta Mokshapuri'] ) by Adi Sankara. He was born to his parents with the blessings of Goddess Kamakshi. Even at the young age of 13 he had attained the siddhi of leaving a locked room. Devas were visible to him. He was forever going around Kamakshi temple (Kancheepuram) , chanting the 'Mookapancha stuti' that is filled with dispassion. Even as a young boy he drew the Holy Mountain (even without having seen it) and worshipped it. After his mother's death he moved from Kancheepuram to Tiruvannamalai. The Swami would walk right through a marriage hall into the kitchen and empty the vessel there. The shocked people would find a snake in the dish prepared. The Swami would walk on the water of the pond near Ramanasramam. He would clap his hands and a thousand 'Garuda pakshi' (the divine eagle) would appear! With a clap of his hands thousand peacocks would appear! The Swami would enter a shop and picking up the coins from the cash box, throw it all over. The shopkeeper would be very happy, for, his business would boost up. The Swami was usually found in the graveyard, 'Kambathu illaiyanar sannidhi' in Annamalai temple or in Durgai amman temple. He had also lived and attained siddhi in Tiruvannamalai. Seshadri Swamigal had performed Giri Pradakshina 1,00,008 times! Bhagavan Ramana Maharishi who never advocated any external spiritual practices (like japa, dhyana) strongly recommended circumambulation of this Holy Arunachala. Can then one speak on the glory of this Giri Pradakshina in mere words? Many are the greatness of this Giri Pradakshina. No otherspiritual practice is needed. Once a young boy came in search of his mother who had not returned home after her daily Giri Pradakshina. Seshadri Swamigal said to this boy that his mother had become one with the Holy Arunachala and that she would not return home! Such is the glory of this Mountain; such is the glory of this Kshetra; such is the glory of these Mahatmas and Yogiramsuratkumar arrived here to crown it all! Guest guest
Namaste. The biographical details of Kolandaiananda Swamy is somewhat doubtful for me. If he is the same Trailinga Swamy of Kasi, then i am afraid, he is not from Madhurai. He is called Trailinga Swami because he hailed from Trilinga Desa which is now Andhra Pradesh (trilinga desa is andhra because of its 3 famous siva temples). I have a complete biographical details of Swamiji. To his credit is the Kali Mutt of Banares. He worshipped GOddess Kali which is " very vibrant " till today. Ramakrishna Paramahamsa served payasannam to this holy sage. regs, sriram , suriya prakash <suriya_madurai12 wrote: > > Sri Gurubyoh Namah > > For more information about Sri Swamigal please visit: > www.ssss-sangam.org > > Thanks & Regards > Suriya > > > > ________________________________ > ganapathy = = vijaya <srividya101 > ambaaal > Mon, February 1, 2010 5:08:49 PM > Seshadri Swamigal > > > Namasthe. > > This is a copy and paste from Shiv_sena . Guest guest
I have been the secretary of Sri Kulaianandaswamy satsangam and had done some good work for his samadhi at Arasaradi in madurai. He is the avatar of Trilingaswamy, and there need be no doubt on this. If is said that he used to be locked inside the Meenakshi garba graha in the night and in the morning when the doors are open swamigal will emerge with full of milk on his lips, which means Meenakshi herself fed this great saint. Guest guest
Sir: Please add up the adhistanam at Chittalangudi which is just off the National highway 7 (Madurai-Dindigul Road),Nagari Village. I was amazed by the silence that is there in the adhistanams both in Arasaradi and Chittalangudi.
