Guest guest Posted February 19, 2010 Report Share Posted February 19, 2010 most reverred ambaa group members, i would like to know from our scriptures and vaastu shastra, what is enshrined in our books, they way in which either narmada bana linga or salagrama shivalinga is installed in a shivaalayam. the particulars i am interested are: 1. size of the garbha gruha - sanctum sanctorum 2. size of the paanuvattam - base in which siva linga is installed, i.e., yonipeetham 3. size of the somasutram - where from the abhisheka jalam passes 4. the course of the passage of abhisheka jalam 5. size of the shiva linga - the circumfrance, and height if the above particulars are given in an authentic fashion, it will be of great help to understand the same. i am interested in these particulars, as a shiva temple is coming up near our place. best regards to one and all in anticipation.
