Guest guest
We hailing from the parampara of Shri Gollapinni Mallikarjuna Sastry do the parayana of Chidambara Charitra, Chidambara Stotra, Chidambara Ashtottara Nama. My paramaguru wrote " Chidambara Dikshta Stavarajah " that details out his family tree, childhood lilas etc. My guruji translated Chidambara Sahasranama into Telugu. We have 250 abhangas in Marathi Language written by Shri Rajaram Maharaj who is the disciple of Shri Chidambara Dikshitar & Martand Bhatt ji. Namasthe. The Chidambara Shiva mantra and related Sahasranamas are considered highly classified and initiated and known to the Dikshit Families living there only. It is also different from Panchakshari and Shakthy Panchakshay mantras. Would you further comment on my observations. My comment is based on a real life incident which I would like to keep it to myself as it pertains to another devotee. Guest guest
Namaste. Yes. Chitsabhesha Sahasranamavali and its related mantras are quite different and only dikshitars are " entitled " to study them. What we have is entirely different one. We have the namavali/stotras of Shri Chidambara Dikshitar. Shri Chidambara Dikshitar, as the name indicates, was born with the blessings of Chitsabhesha. Shri Martand Bhatt performed Gayatri Purashcahrana at Chidambaram and with the guidance of Shri Swayamprakasanandanatha (disciple of Shr Bhaskararaya Makhin), performed Somayaga. That Somayaga was supervised by none other than Shri Akkalkot Maharaj of Akkalkot who is considered to be the living embodiment of Jagatguru Dattatreya. As a result of this Gayatri Japa & Somayaga, Shri Martand Bhatt was conferred the title " Dikshitar " and was blessed with a vision of Lord Chidambaram. Till then, he was issueless. Lord Chidambaram blessed Shri Martand Bhatt saying that with His Jnana Kala, a son would be born to you who would be a great srividyopasaka. Having taken birth, Shri Chidambara Dikshitar, when he was just a days baby, showed entire cosmos in His mouth just as Lord Krishna showed it to Yashoda. All these lilas are recorded in His Charitra and i am not going into the details of it. Now, coming to the point, the mantra related to Chitsabhapati is the " Dahara Vidya " and the yantra there is " sammelana yantra " . This was told to me by good old friend Shri Harshaji. regs, sriram > > > Namasthe. > > The Chidambara Shiva mantra and related Sahasranamas are considered highly classified and initiated and known to the Dikshit Families living there only.
