Guest guest
Namaste. It refers to the dwAra-dEvatAs in the Devi Sadana. Each an every entrance is guarded by celestial goddesses. The hue of those celestial beings are described as " navIna-bimbAbhAH " . Bimba is a vegetable which is called as dondakaya in telugu; Gentleman's Toes (also Ivy Gourd) in English and Kovaikai in Tamil; Kundru in Hindi. So, this newly ripe vegetable is reddish in colour. The vimarsa tattva is represented as " aruNa " colour and prakAsa to be in white colour. In order to remind us this prakasa-vimarsa tattva, a srividyopasaka dikshita should always sport with Bhasma and Kumkuma. Kumkuma should be covered with Bhasma as described by Shri Bhaskaraya Makhin. Shri Bhaskararaya while commenting on the sutra " antaH sAktAh bahih saivAh lOkE vaiShNavAh " says that Sakta Vidya should be guarded secretly just as one covers the Kumkuma with Vibhuti. This Aruna tattva should remind us the LS " nijAruNaprabhApura-majjatbrahmAnDamaNDalA " . The celestial goddesses are the Rashmi Devatas in the Sriyantra who also resemble the Devi in colour. Unless the Rashmi Devatas open up the gates and allow us inside, we cannot have the glimpse of the Great Queen Lalitha Parabhattarika. This is similar to the analogy where unless we take the VIP Passes, relevant permissions from Security Officers, we can't enter into the Parliament or Secretariat to meet PM or CM. I think I have conveyed the meaning. Guest guest
Namaste. <<<<To know about Devi one needs the competency of the Dwara Devies which exist as Pindam >>> I believe you need the explanation of the word Pinda here as the slokas mentions " pinDIbhUta " . Pindibuta means " manifested in gross bodies " . So, the guardians at the entrances of Chintamani Griha are the different emanatations of Devi who have " manifested in gross form " having reddish in colour. regs, sriram
