Guest guest
I totally agree with you Ganapathy Vijayaji. Seeing AmbaaL as our own Selves is better than seeing her as different from us. Everyone treasures one's own self for the satisfaction of which all karmas are done. We place this 'self' at the highest pedastal and worship. This turns into egotism. The truest bhakthi is to surreder this self at AmbaaL's holy feet. That is how she is accepted as 'SimhaasanEswari' and not just praising with lips. Thus the importance of the procedures of external worship should be gradually withdrawn. We should concentrate in seeing Her in all beings. This is true bhakthi. In true bhakthi there is only AmbaaL and none, nothing else. Thiruvadi iNai thuNai Ambaa! Guest guest
Namaste. Since the topic of Vigraha Aradhana has come, i would like to cite an incident that was narrated by Shri Narahari Bhatt to me at Sringeri. This happened during the times of Shri Chandrasekhara Bharati Swamigal. Generally, it is the family of Shri Narahari Bhatt who are carrying out the Pitha Devatarchana, Panchayatana, Chandramoulishwara & Sarada Puja in the morning and during the night Jagatgurus worship the same. The father of Shri Narahari Bhatt while performing the navavarana archana to Sriyantra, it so happened that, while offering the upachara " vastram samarpayami " to Mother Sarada's Idol, tied the Pattu Sari very tightly to the Sarada's Idol that was being worshipped in the pitha. This idol is visible at the time of Chandramoulishwara Puja. Shri Chandrasekhara Bharati Swamigal was in His private room and obviously was in Antarmukha State. Suddenly Swamigal regained outer consciousness and sent His attendant to pass the message to the father of Narahari Bhatt to loosen the Sari that was tightly wrapped to Mother Sarada. After the archana was over, Swamigal called Shri Bhatt and warned not to do such mistake. On being enquired, Swamigal said that Mother Sarada gave a vision and complained that " SHE WAS HAVING A FEELING OF SUFFOCATION " as the Sari was tightly wrapped around Her neck. It was so tightly wrapped that Mother Sarada couldn't take Her Breath. This was personally narrated to me by Shri Narahari Bhatt Ji. Such is the sensitivity of Chandrasekhara Bharati Mahaswamigal in Navavarana Archana. Even Shri Sacchidananda Nrisimha Bharati Swamigal worshipped in a very meticulous way to Lord Chandramoulishwara & Sriyantra. My prostrations to the Holy Guruparampara of Sringeri Sarada Pitha. regs, sriram , Anbu sivam2 <anbesivam2 wrote: > > I totally agree with you Ganapathy Vijayaji. Guest guest
Dear Sriram-ji, What a wonderful and heart-moving episode in the life of the jagadguru... I would like to narrate another incident in the life of HH Kanchi Mahaperiyaval.. This happened in the town of Bandhanallur (pasupathi natha swamy) temple where there is also a Vishnu Durga ambaal in a separate sannidhi. One day, the gurukkal and other devotees noticed that the vishnudurga vigraha had tears in her eyes - the gurukkal and others obviously got flustered and one of the main people of the village was summoned. They all decided they will call a kanya (small girl of 6 to 7 years) and visualizing her as durga asked her what was wrong? The girl replied saying she heard a voice (asiriri) " Please lessen my burden " and that she only heard this voice. The people of the village conducted some poojas and the gurukkal decided to take the blessings of Mahaperiyaval and also seek his counsel on this matter. Mahaperiyaval ordered some 4 lakh vessels of holy water (sanctified by Navakshari mantras) and asked the gurukkal to perform abhisheka to Vishnudurgai. The gurukkal did the same and came back after 3-4 months once the abhishekam was performed. Though the ambaal stopped her tears, they still could not understand what went wrong. Mahaperiyaval went into deep meditation and enquired " Can you check if the wall above the vishnudurga was leaning on her? " The gurukkal was flummoxed - " I dont know periyavaa, I will check and come back " Mahaperiyavaa said - " Please check it and if so, please remove the vigraha and perform kumbabhishekam " Immediately on checking it was found that the wall was actually weakened and was falling on Vishnudurga ambaals shoulders. They rectified the same - this incident has been reported in " Darisana Anubhavangal - Chapter 6 " Sri Gurubyo namaha... Why should I have to be like somebody else? If the reason is good enough, the how I have to be like somebody else? like just to imitate them? or to be feel like them, to have same experiences, same 'performances' that as they do? or in some other way? Why on earth, 'I' should look outside towards one acharya or other acharya, one guru or some jagadguru to 'follow'? 'Whom' should 'I' follow? While some names of the goddess go like these - " antar mukha samaradhya " , 'bahir mukha sudurlabha', 'antaryaga.. " , antarmukha janananda ... phala dayini " , books like 'vari vasya rahasya' being attributed to Sri vidhana. and this 'Sree' too got meaning of 'atma' , and methods and knowledge around it called 'atmavidya'/ brahma vidya. (atma==brahma, in ganapathy==vijaya parlance?) Bruhate vartate - iti brahma. so this atma or the 'self' must have presence unbounded, vast. btw, Mr & Mrs. Ganapathy==Vijaya, I know you must be crying involuntarily, that's your right to do so, while immersed in HER aura.BUT, have you ever 'completely' analyzed, why tears are coming to your eyes? Whether this bhavodvegam is really helpful or distracting to any extent? Why am I hearing 'mirror's , prakasha-vimarsha concepts like that 1st sloka in KKV - " antarlina vimarshaH paatu maheshaH prakAsha mAtra tanuH " etc. Please pardon me, if I offended anybody. at HER feet, Prasad Reddy.
