Guest guest
Namaste, Could somebody help by providing the text for Sri Durga Pancharatnam, composed by Sri Chandrashekharendra Saraswathi Mahaswamigal. I found many sources on the Internet, but they seemed to have quite a lot of flaws, (probably crept in during transliteration). Thanks in advance. Guest guest
The story behind this composition was that a granite idol which was intended to be installed in a nearby temple was brought to the Mutt and kept temporarily there as the temple was not fully ready. After few days suddenly the devotees saw that the idol was smeared with turmeric and kumkum and puja done with flowers. Later on in the Mutt it was known that Maha swamy personally did this and while decorating Maha Periyavaal had also composed this composition which asks for MOKSHA five times in the shloka. It is very common in Chennai, to chant these verses before Chandi Parayana.. > <%40>, sudarshan > balasubramanian <sudarshanbalasubramanian wrote: > > > > Namaste, > > > > Could somebody help by providing the text for Sri Durga Pancharatnam, > composed by Sri Chandrashekharendra Saraswathi Mahaswamigal.
