Guest guest
Dear Murali Papavimochana stotram of Sri Vijayindra Thirtha is also a good one in this category. It is also referred to as Durthapahara stotram by some. Regards Suresh
Guest guest
Dear Suresh, Greetings and thanks for the info. If you have a copy of the same, can you send the same? There are quite a few Papa Vimochana Stutis including the one by Ahalya to Sri Rama (Adhyatma Ramayana), 3 papa vimochana stutis from Vamana Purana, one from Agni Purana, Vyapohana Stava in Linga Purana, and innumerable Kshamapana Stotras by various saints such as Bhagavatpada, Kuresha, etc. The veda mantra drupadAdiva- is also said to destroy papas and so also Sankalpa suktam. I am sure there will be many more in Rig Veda. The apamarjana Stavas are also in similar category - I have the one on Vishnu but there seem to be two more - one for Lord Shiva and one for Lord Ganesha. Of course, Gayatri Mantra japa is perhaps the ultimate in providing chitta shuddhi if done with due diligence. Though any stuti will ultimate result in chitta shuddhi, I was wondering whether there is any specific stuti seeking this as the end result - apart from the one from Sri Vadiraja. Thanks & Regards, murali , suresh maruthi <sureshrmaruthi2001 wrote: > > Dear Murali > > Papavimochana stotram of Sri Vijayindra Thirtha is also a good one in this category.
