Guest guest
Dear Madasamy I never thought I'll be asking help from such people. I am very honest - your reply is rude enough & is the comment. Everybody does their job - it is particularly difficult if you work 28 hrs shift as a doctor in UK - whre u have to forego your sleep & meals many times during day. I thanked people who gave me a positive advice & encouragement - as I said I am replying this because I do not want people claiming that I hadn't answered & thanked you - tell me what you had written to advice/help me to thank you than a derogatory comment about me. We must first try to come away from our mars/moon suit-land in earth & then think we are a miniscule of unrecognisable person sin a population of 4 blns of humans, leave alone the other creatures of GOD. We must first shed our attitude problems & as Hippocrates always told - FIRST DO NO HARM - you'd understand if someone did this to you. Due to my good nature I left without any comments In my language there is a famous adage - NUNALUM THAN VAAYAL KEDUM - meaning a frog, if it closes it's mouth & keeps quiet, no snake would be able to spot him. Now you've done exactly that. You've forced me to write this letter. I need no replies to this - just think over twice whether you need to offend anyone just because someone asked for help. Jumping to offend is not the entire & exact purpose of this group! I'll hesitate to ask any questions in this site from now on as long as such people still are members of this site. GOODBYE - and hoping never to hear from you again. Guest guest
There is a saying in your language which goes like this " minnuvathellam pon alla " literally meaning all that glitters is not gold (for the benefit of others who are not well versed in Tamil). It also means that if it does not glitter, it does not mean that it is not gold(en). Vein of gold inside a hard rock will appear like rock, but only hard work to seek it will bring for the reward. After the " provocation " by Nora here: /message/25974 you now reveal that you work 28 hour shifts. Nora had already answered your unmentioned (at that time) source of your frustration. She did say " Don't work hard, work smart " in the above url. Born in India, completing academic courses and now working abroad, albiet long hours, how many people of India can achieve that? One can step outside the immediate circle of friends and family, look at other not-so-successful persons, in spite of their (others') intelligence and abilities, count their (self) blessings and acknowledge HER for guiding and helping them in the life. Sometimes, it is nice to say, " Thank you, " to HER as well, just as one does to other humans. A holyman said once, " Happiness comes not from getting all wants, but having only a few wants. " There is a film song by Kannadasan which ends like this: " yEzhai manadhai maaLigai aakki iravum pagalum kaaviyam paadu naaLai pozhudhai iRaivanukkaLithu nadakkum vaazhvil amaidhiyai thEdu " " unakkum keezhe uLLavar kOdi ninaithu paarthu nimmadhi naadu " There are thousands of external remedies, but if they do not seem to work, the best is to modify oneself internally, so any external help will be properly absorbed. , " naresh68 " <naresh68 wrote: > > Dear Madasamy > > I never thought I'll be asking help from such people. Well should should read our pass message we did admit ourselves being a rude bunch. And I did say I might be wrond did I? Im a nurse who is have been on duty 28 X 7 days for 10 yrs. I dont only work in the hospital, im a volunteer with the hospice where I'm on call another 24 hrs. So ive been there Doc and I know what is like. { you see how egolistical I can be sometimes. I too like to brag about what I do ] LOL Im not meant to be rude, but to question that is all. Sometimes the spontaneous reaction of a person will tell you a lot about a person. As my guru will always ask me : what's in your mind right now? What comes in your mind. And from there we move on to the next step. Well its your choice doc, its a cruel world out there. That is how I teach those children who come knocking at my door. I question them a lot. I told them if im being nice and over protective over you, I'm not helping you. My other moderator, Devi Bhakta is a complete opposite of me. Just your luck he is not around or else he would be here sheltering you like a protective father. LOL. Once I met a young man in a bus stop. He recognise me immediately but not me. It took me a while until he showed me his wound. He then told me " you're were cruel to me in the hospital " " Yes! I am " I told him " but if I dont do that, you would still be lying in your hosptial bed feeling sorry about yourself " he replied " I understood all that, that is why i remember you till today and wanted to thank you because I never got the chance to do that on my discharge " Take it or leave it doc. This is I am. I do not pretend to be who I am not.
