How Many! Heavenly Coutesans(too are trapped) This verse again deals with contemplation of Devi as Aruna as in Verse 16. Her radiance is like the morning Sun which lights up the sky and earth with a shade of red. In verse 16, the contemplation results in poetic gift. In this verse, It is the power to attract beautiful women Comparison of eyes of a beautiful women with those of frightened deer is a standard comparison used in Sanskrit poetry. Similarly, heavenly courtesans like Urvasi, Rambha, Menaka, Tilottama and others are also a standard used in description of beauty in poetry and even in common usage. It is a complement to say a woman looks like Rambha. There are two ways of interpreting these verses. 1) It is praise of her supreme powers, that nothing is beyond the reach of a devotee who prays and is always blessed with an abundance of what he wishes for. He may pray for a good looking wife. The mother goes beyond his wish and gives him an Urvasi. 2) There are techniques of worship secret and transmitted through Gurus who them selves have learnt from their Gurus and so on. So specific method of worship is aimed at a specific result. But in either case, Devotion is primary. Technique or knowledge just plays its minor part. In his immortal words of introduction to MSSubbulaksmi's rendering of Bhaja Govindam, Sriman Rajagopalachari said " ..... If Sri Adi Sankara himself who drank the ocean of Jnana as easily as one drinks water from the palm of ones hand, sang in his later years hymns to develop devotion, it is enough to show that Jnana and Bhakti are one and the same " Yanta is 2 in intersecting equilateral triangles top one pointing upwards and the other pointing downwards forming 6 smaller triangles and a Hexagon inside. 6 Bijaksharams are in the triangles one in each. Starting from top triangle they are, Kaa, Ma, Dey, Vaa, Ya, Namah ie KAAMADEVAAYA NAMAH. In the Hexagon, Kleem, Kleem, Kleem are arranged in a column. Expected results of Upasana is accomplishment in fine arts besides the power to attract women as evident from the verse Here’s a new way to find what you're looking for - Answers
