While we continue to discuss matters that are in many cases of little

consequence or value, there is a very pressing matter which we MUST engage our

attention upon immediately! It's called Global warming, and will not only have

very serious implications for us and how we live a few years from now but also

for our children.

yes!! it is very important!! in fact I have been seriously looking for a

chemical that will remain solid at pressures above 10,000 feet and will

disintegrate at 10,000 feet without causing any pollution.

 

Once we find such a material we can ask all airlines to carry pods that will

spew this chemical when they fl. That will cut off the sunlight and hence will

cause global cooling.

 

The other thing I am looking t is to design rafts with solar powered pumps

that will pump air downward and water as in a fountain, with addition of ferric

chloride to be anchored in the high seas. With this action the blue green algae

will absorb the carbon dioxide in massive quantities.

 

But, the problem is that we are fixing oxygen also in the process. The best

thin to do is to find a viable method of economically breaking down carbon and

oxygen in Carbon dioxide. Then we get back the Carbon and release oxygen back

into air.

 

Any suggestions?

Interesting. Eath has passed through earlier cycles of warm temperatures and ice

ages in its history of 4000 million years. We may be causing marginal changes

in temperature and perhaps we can take measures to combat effect of these

actions. But if we consider the geological time scale, the size of earth and its

atmosphere, we make very little difference either way. There are Geologists who

say we are heading for another ice age. We can only hope for the best since both

global warming and global cooling are dangerous.
