Guest guest
Dear Group: I think I finally figured out that a Meru is a 3D version of a Sri Yantra. Is this correct? Should I be saying prayers to Devi near or in front of the Sri Yantra? I also have a Kali Yantra. How are these different? Thanks, Shankari Kali Never miss an email again! Guest guest
Namaste: I recently began reciting the Sri Lalita Sahasranama everyday. Would it be appropriate to have the Sri Yantra on the altar as I recite this? I am taking it that it would be. I just did not totally understand what the Sri Yantra symbolized. How does Sri Lalitha Tripurasundari relate to Chandi or Durga? Is the Sri Yantra a symbol of the power of the all incompassing Shakti meaning, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Chandi, Kali, etc. Thanks again for the help. Would it be appropriate to have the Sri Yantra on the altar as I recite this? *** Absolutely. *** How does Sri Lalitha Tripurasundari relate to Chandi or Durga? *** They are two of Her fierce, aggressive aspects. *** Is the Sri Yantra a symbol of the power of the all incompassing Shakti meaning, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Chandi, Kali, etc. *** Yes. *** Thanks again for the help. *** Thanks for the opportunity to be of service. ;-) DM > > Devi Bhakta <devi_bhakta wrote: Dear Shankari Kali: > > You wrote: > > *** I think I finally figured out that a Meru is a 3D version of a > Sri Yantra. Guest guest
Any view of God, male or female or having some quality or another is merely imputational and not based on inspiration, where wholeness is the major real mental sense of divinity. Guest guest
Recently, I saw in a New Age shop a Shri Yantra in the form of a pendant. In other words, meant to be used as jewelry. Is it appropriate to do this? They also sell Shiva linga stones, some of which is mounted as a pendant, too. Similar question for this, as well. Guest guest
In general such talismans are harmless, and if they increase devotion then hooraw.
