[Our longtime friend and member Rajeswari Iyer asked me to post this

on her behalf; she is having server problems and SS has bounced this

message several times. It is an excellent response, please read it!]

Dear DB,

I am sending this personally to your account because my reply

bounced back. If you do not agree or find something offensive,

please ignore. If not, please post to SS. I really got pissed off

the with reactions to this thread, particularly from our members --

and certain others too, which is expected.

Dear All

The question here is not the commercial aspect of Devipurum. On this

point, one is entitiled to agree or disagree.

But in this board a bogus person has claimed that he was initiated

and induced to buy a Meru by Guruji during Kumbabishekam, and that

he got it along with an MP3 CD. He further adds he is so naive that

he does not know how to use the MP3, or the Meru that is lying in

front of him without any result, as per his claim. THIS WAS HIS

STATEMENT.

Our members' reactions to that statement was appalling. If they had

any issues with the Sri Meru booklet, as members they should have

made the effort to send their opinions when the article got first

got posted in this group, before the event of the Kumbabisekham.

To run any institution, one needs physical wealth. If somebody

putting his effort into merchandising crystal or something, you as a

buyer have discriminating power to accept or not to accept. But to

cause or poke dirty remarks at the religion or upon this or that

sadhaka without testing for yourself -- that is to be condemened.

I feel that the SS board's members should have thrown dirt at that

nasty so-called wanna_be_devi; that mischief monger -- we all know

what religion he comes from. One doesn't need intelligence to see

where he is from. Instead being allowed to , he should

have been kicked out! So too with the other mischief mongers here!

They are born into one religion; why can't they stick to it? Why

meddle with other religions?

Of course, if one does not have enough spiritual attainment, one

will meet a lower level of spiritual sadhaka, the so-called fake

sadhus -- there are plenty in India. Those people who, seeing a

foreigner, like to show off even morethan usual and claim that they

have power. Because, with the typical foreigner's background and

approach to or attitude toward Hinduism, that is what they are

looking for!

This in turn gives this type of foreigner all of these superiority

feelings. And it proves how deeply rooted the complex is that

foreigners have when comes to accepting that our country too has

something that we can claim to be our own and feel proud of!

Finally, let me say this: If one wears dark glasses, everything will

look dark to him. WHAT CAN I SAY? These " trolls " are a bunch of idle-

minded people who want to show their " superiority, " and who use this

or Internet chat medium to claim some kind of power

via their half-baked knowledge that will always convince and impress

certain weak-minded and ignorant people. As the proverb goes, " AN

IDLE MIND IS THE DEVIL'S WORKSHOP. " THAT FITS THESE GUYS.

My comments are not addressed to all non-Hindus, or particularly to

all Westerners or Muslims. Some of these people are more

knowledgable and devoted than we Hindus are. And these truly

spiritual individuals should treated with respect, even if they do

not follow Hinduism. According to us, all religious paths takes one

to the same destiny if one persists with one-pointed devotion.

My comments are only addressed to that handful of crooked, false

people who play such games and cause such trouble to the honest and

the truthful. My comments are addressed to THEM.

As a foreigner who practices Hinduism, I think that you were very noble by

allowing this man to express his opinion even if it was offensive. Frankly I

ignored him. Don't turn your prana (attention) to this individual, and he will

go away.

Peace,

Shankari Kali

If that's really your goal and desire it will happen. But if your desire is

to be a clown that too will happen.
