for all those & myself(as well) interested in knowing more on the aghora aspect

of tantra mantra & siddhis (i.e left hand tantra-mantra) there are 3 good books

that i personally like reading a lot for the sake of knowledge only ...

**AGHORA, At the Left Hand of God by by Robert E. Svoboda

**AGHORA II: Kundalini (Aghora) by Robert E. Svoboda

**Aghora III: The Law of Karma by Robert E. Svoboda

I guess you really think they're important since you cross posted this at

many groups. How many here have read them, (hand up).

Please note that, while the the Svoboda books can offer an entertaining

read, they should not be considered as authoritative.

Svoboda is an old hippie who did the India thing back in the 70's, and

has since forged a lucrative career talking and writing about Indian

mysticism.

While he deserves some credit for popularizing the topic and making it

accessible to a wide Western (and Indian) audience, I do not know of a

single serious sadhaka who considers Svoboda's work as more than a

fictionalized memoir. He recycles the same old myths, exagerrations and

stereotypes -- only this time for a more sympathetic, culturally

sensitive generation of readers.

This is not necessarily a condemnation. I have read Svoboda's work and

it is okay -- better than remaining totally ignorant on the topic. The

books have their value, and Svoboda does well for himself lecturing at

various New Age and Yoga retreats and conferences. Feel free to support

him if you like; no harm done.

But don't give his books too much weight. Again, to a large extent they

are simply sensationalized fiction.
