Tadhiyuru maththin suzhalum en Avi, thaLarvu ilathu Or

gathiyuRu-vaNNam kardhu kaNdAi - kamalAlayanum

madhiyuRu-vENi magizhnanum, mAlum vaNangi enRum

thuthiyuRu sevadiyAi, sindoorAnana sundhariyE.

 

thadhiyuru: in the churned curd (yogurt)

maththin: like the agitator which is used to churn

suzhalum: revolving

en: my

Avi: soul

thaLarvu: tiredness

ilathu: without

Or: the (one) (pronounced like an " Oar " )

gathiyuRu: in the state

vaNNam: of

karudhu: care (of me)

kaNdAi: took (made it happen)

kamalAlayanum: One who dwells in a Lotus

MadhyuRu: One who resides in the learned mind

veNi: Saraswathi

magizhnanum: One who makes (HER) happy

mAlum: thirumAl (Vishnu)

vaNangi: pay obeisance

thuthiyuRu: worship (or pray)

sevadiyAi: (YOU) with red feet

sindoorAnana: Red-colored (LSN Dhyanam: SindoorAruna vigrahAm)

sundhariyE: Beautiful Lady

 

O' Beautiful Red-colored Lady, who is worshipped by the One who

dwells in a Lotus and who also makes the Godess of Learning happy,

worshipped by Vishnu! YOU delivered me from the vicious cycle of

birth and death I was in, like the agitator that revolves in the curd

(to extract butter). You guided me to the tireless state (of being

one with YOU).
