Guest guest
[MODERATOR'S NOTE: automatically detached the " flyer " referenced here. Please upload flyer as a file or reply on board with a URL for download. Thanks.] We request everyone to join for a protest against the Government of Y. Samuel Rajasekhar Reddy during his visit to Chicago on May 6th for TANA/ATA receptions. The attached flyer has all the details (on both sides). PLEASE CIRCULATE THIS WIDELY. Mr. Samuel Reddy regime is destroying Hindu Institutions, aiding massive illegal conversions and decimating ancient Hindu culture. Every indication is that the plan is to make Andhra a model of destruction for the rest of the country. Please stop this by protesting in large numbers. We are planning to take vans/buses from NY/NJ. We will be advertising extensively in Chicago surrounding areas. We encourage others from locations, particularly drivable to Chicago, to take buses/vans. We will provide banners and other material. We request to talk to those you know, talk to associations and temples executives, put flyers in every possible location where Indian Americans gather. Guest guest
This is a totally in advised protest. These accusation are not correct. In fact the Hindu temples are better off under the present government. Mr Reddy is under attack because he is a Reddy as opposed to certain other powerful castes. NR Is should desist from indulging in caste politics. Let them spread Hindu religion and culture in the West and show our unity. Guest guest
Thank you for this. I'm often disturbed when I received this messages. Most of the time I would just reject them. Today im fortunate enough to get hold of Frontline. Supposedly Indian National Magazine. I thought its a good magazine a substitute from the Times or the Economist. In my opinion they are too pro American and sometime their articles are bias. At least frontline is seeing the world from an asian viewpoint. Something caught my attention : April 6 2007 edition, page 39: Social Issues and the headlines goes : Village Terror. " There is an accusation that some influential people instigated upper-caste youth. A Dalit summed it up thus : " We wear good clothes, eat decent food and are not totally dependent on them. They dont like it " After reading the article now I begin to understand when venkat bhaskar said : caste politics. How sad. India is emerging as one of the most powerful economic and yet such things happen. As I've pointed out before when that Shilpa S so called racial attack, what India needs to do is to look at how they treat their own people. They are as much guilty as those racist in UK and other parts of the world. I dont know, this is how I see it. , venkat bhasksr <sitam_subba wrote: > > This is a totally in advised protest. Guest guest
Well doneMr.madasamy, Yes,on UN's survey of 2002 showed the amount of racism & effect on people lives-a widely talked subject on those days in UK-came out in Asian AGE-shows INDIANS TOP in the list-not british/US In this world of kaliyuga-Do we have another 50 yrs to live(world)? With time old traditions-this caste was brought to excel people in particular work which their families did-i.e- carpenters/weavers/goldsmiths etc-not to intimidate/humiliate others because of their caste. We got freedom from BRitish-did we get freedom from our own countrymen-what Mahatma & ambedkar/mandal did had brought them away from economic hardship but yet to atone them from their social hardships-a bane in ASIAN/India culture. Glad you quoted frontline article for this. Naresh68 , " NMadasamy " <nmadasamy wrote: > > Thank you for this. I'm often disturbed when I received this > messages.
