Guest guest
The sixteenth Kala is Tripura and suffuses the rest. Other than that the whole issue of the fifteen nityas is that they are expressions of Kurukulle as red goddess of expansion or waxing phase of the moon. The first nitya at the new moon is Kameshvari. But I have not heard it said that she is worshipped on the new moon itself, so much as the first phase after. But guess what? I am not a Sri Vidya initiate, but merely a wanna-be, so I know very little. Harsha-ji could easily answer this question. So also some members here so why are they silent? It's not like a secret really. Guest guest
Namaste I first became aware of the Nityas and their relevance to the phases of the Moon from this site (shivashakti.com) a number of years ago. At another section of the site there is an article on the 16 Kali Nityas and mentions these Nityas as those governing the waning moon as opposed to the Lalita Nityas for the waxing moon. Can anyone shed any light on how each of these 16 phases (with the 16th kalas of the cycle being Lalita or Kali as full or dark moon) are meditated on within a 28 day cycle of the moon? Each excluding the 16th still adds to thirty, and I am not clear from information I have been able to find if the Lalita and Kali Nityas are to be acknowledged in the same lunar cycle or if they are mutually exclusive traditions. They are both faces of HER. If only one set of Nityas is to be used, then how do the 16 nityas fit within the 28 days? With gratitude for the gift of understanding. Guest guest
I don't mean this in a bad way but your questions are missing the point entirely. It's not like a secret really. Why are some members so silent? Possible answer : [1] They do not know what you are talking about [2] They are not online because they have other non web obligations. As most of us [ including the moderators ] are householder. We have family commitment too and are not online 24hrs. [3] Those who know the answer just dont feel like telling you for the reason of their own. Its not like a secret Of course it not a secret. The answer is out there, you just dont know how to get it or just not meant to know about it. I did the nityas long time back under the Devi of the week series. All you have to do it to type Nitya in the search function and it will display the message that I've posted long time ago. A little effort does go a long way dont you agree? Anyway you might want to look at these : Intoduction to Nityas : message 5933 Nityalinna : Message 6030 Bhderunda : Message 6089 vahnivasini : Message 6156 Mahavajrasvari Message 6229 Sivaduti : Message 6365 Tvarita : Message 6430 Kulasundari: Message 6483 Nityas : Message 6529 Nilapataka : Message 6573 Vijaya : Message 6634 Sarvamanagla : Message 6741 Jvalamalini : Message 6827 Citra : Message 6877 Alternatively just go to the group photogallery and look for the nityas. The images are all there.
Guest guest
This may add to cofusion. Still I am posting it. Talking only about Moon, It seems on Shukla Padyami there are 2 Kalas ie 2/16. As we go on adding !/16,we reach 16/16 on Pournami and subtracting 1/16 each day the Amavasya will be 1/16. Guest guest
Hi Venkat You are right. Amavasya is the first crescent, prathama (sukla) or pratipadaa is the second, dvitiya is the third and so on. Vedic names for the crescents are Darshaa, Drshtaa, Darshitaa, Drshyamaanaa and so on.
