Guest guest
The elaborate ritual is also called Sandhyopasana. Vandanam is perhaps the simplified form. So it is Upasana of Sandhya as Gayatri at dawn, Savitri at noon and Saraswati at dusk. This is the daily worship of Shakti in her three forms representing three Gunas. Guest guest
There is description of this procedure in In a book " Devi Bhagavatam " original attributed to Veda Vyas and translated into Telugu. This Telugu translation was published in 1942. I am not sure whether this procedure is general or any one does it now. A)The 1st ,that is Pratah Sandhya involves after usual preliminaries, Pranayamam followed by Gayatri. Then sitting in Siddhasana and Mantra Japam.. Then praying to the Mother for forgiveness. B) Sahasra Gayatri At noon C)Evening Puja involves some Mudras like Mrugi, Khecari etc and mantras for worship of Saraswati. At all three times Arghyam is to be given to the Sun.This book too says appropriate mantras are to be learnt from the Guru. Guest guest
I agree with Venkat Bhaskar and others regarding the procedure of " SandhyoUpasana " . Lord Veda Vyas and other Rushi's had attained the way of worshipping the Goddess in their " Thaapsu " in " Krutha yuga " age of time. The way of life in " Krutha yuga " for all human beings is suitable for the way(Procedure mentioned in Devi Bhgavatham) of worshipping the goddess. Now all of our Guys and gals Know very well about our liftstyle on this Earth Planet. If i say True Our Lifestyle is not at all Suitable for worshipping the goddess Sandhya. why because Devi Bhgavatham mentioned many priniciples , Rituals and many more rules(agni sudhhi, vakku sudhhi ,forefathers blessess,Kings Dharma palna etc...) Godessess Sandhya is always so mercy full on all her kids . That's why it's the time for us to find the ways of worshipping Sandhya which are suitable for our lifestyles.I have greater belief on Sandhya Devi that she has already Explained the methods in " Devi Bhagvatham " in an indirect way. Friends ,so think about this. i am searching for that only if i know , i will keep it our Group. bye venkat bhasksr <sitam_subba wrote: There is description of this procedure in In a book " Devi Bhagavatam " original attributed to Veda Vyas and translated into Telugu.
