Significance of the Sumangali Pooja The Sumangali Pooja will be celebrated in honour of Sri Durgai Amman who depicts a gentle countenance with ten arms and in each she holds a particular weapon. Typically, married women observe Sumangali pooja for their husbands' well-being, good health and longevity. This event is annualy celebrated on Vesak Day in this Temple. Nevertheless, Hindus too participate in this auspicious day. We would Buddhist temple to pay homage to Kuan Yin and Buddha. The Durgai Sumangali Pooja is an annual event, perform on Vesak day because its a public holiday so that more people are able to join in.
