Guest guest
Dear Shakti Sadhana friends and family: It is my distinct honor and pleasure to welcome the newest addition to our little core group of SS moderators. " Durga " is a native of New Delhi who now lives in Canada. A journalist by profession, she used to write a popular (and compulsively readable) spirituality column for the Hindustan Times. She has a great way with words, as you might expect; and apparantly a streak of masochism too, as she will soon join the rest of us drudges in building and organizing the Shakti Sadhana blog, website and archives. ;-) Besides her technical contributions, Durga has taken several mantras in the Srividya tradition from gurus in the Dattatreya lineage, and is a sincere and dedicated bhakta of the Devine Mother. She's been a member of SS long enough to know the names and faces around here, as well as the naughty trolls who never tire of trying to create mischief behind the scenes. In addition to our online association, Durga and I have enjoyed the pleasure of talking at length offline as real human beings, and -- despite her stubborn and admirable modesty, and her continual protests of non-qualification (since none of us are qualified in the least for this, that part was a plus! *lol*) -- she finally agreed to join our rude gang of " spineless, ignorant fools " (to quote our beloved troll's latest love letter this morning ;-) ). Thanks and salutation to Devi for sending us our latest Shakti. :-) Welcome aboard, D! aim mAtangyai namaH

I have also the pleasure of talking with Durga and we immediately able to feel the closeness. We both shared the same vision and passion for Devi and for the group. Thus I am ever happy to have her to be part of this team. I believe, as we grow, we need more committed people to help us in managing the group. I am a strong believer that we need to groom the younger ones and prepare them to take over the baton when the times come. Devi bhakta and sankara menon or me is not indispensable. We will eventually go one day, and when that happen, at least there is a smooth transition. SS is being handled by capable people who shared the same vision as us. Our new moderator will be working closely with me with regards to the group blog and the website. For a long time I have been lamenting to DB and Kochu of the need to have a new moderator or a new person to help me solely with the website and blog, and I believe DEVI have answered my prayers once again. Guest guest
Dear Durga Ji, Namaskar. Welcome to Shakti Sadhana group as new moderator. I never got an opportunity to see Guruji, but feel happy to see his photographs on devipuram website. A great introduction about you and your induction to various mantras generate curiosity to see you in person, but its all only a thought and I am far away from Canada. Hope you would not mind to place your photograph on group photo album. I also request the same to Devi Bhakta, Nora and other moderators. Best Regards Upendra V , " durgangam " <durgangam@. ..> wrote: I'm struggling to come up with an appropriate response for all the love and blessings that have been showered upon me, but sometimes we have to let words take a backseat, and let feelings be... Guest guest
Dear Upendra: That's something I've thought of doing before. Let me see how everyone feels about it, and maybe we'll put something together. I think in the past we've always felt that the group topic is more important than the people who are talking about it. As we've often stated, the moderators in this group are more or less technical custodians; any number of so-called " ordinary " members know vastly more than any of us do. Also, rumours suggest that people as nasty and godforsaken as us will melt if exposed to the light of scrutiny. ;-) But we'll see what happens. Let me talk to everyone. Warmest regards DB , upendra rao <upendrav2003 wrote: > > Dear Durga Ji, > Namaskar. Welcome to Shakti Sadhana group as new moderator.
