Devi Mahatmyam 11.6 likewise states: " All forms of knowledge are Your aspects, O Devi; and all women in the world are Your visible manifestations, endowed with various attributes. By you alone, Mother, is this world filled. " One question, though. The commentary says, " Literally UdakyA means a woman in her courses. " What does " in her courses " mean? I am not familiar with the phrase, but it seems the reference could mean " during her menses " ? Nora, Durga, Kochu and I recently had an interesting conversation about the dynamics of menstruation and worship; I wondered if this might shed some light on that. Thanks again ...
