[864] DauhitrinI : Who is daughter of the daughter's daughter

The goddess in the form of DauhitrinI connotes that she is the cause

of continued progeny, the perpetuator of a family. She is a means of

recovering property. As such the Devi's leads the continuing

creation to final beatitude. This is the opinon of the wise.

[865] PutrI : The daughter, manifestation of the Truth.

King HimAlayan, the invincible, gave birth to daughter PArvati who

expressed herself in the manifestation of the universe. A true

daughter, indeed, who bloomed forth with splendour to afford chances

of realizing the Truth of eternal happiness to creatures, without

the least consideration of caste, creed or colour.

[866] PautrI : Who is in the form of the daughter of a son.

Sruti says that 'the very self of a person is born as the son'. The

wise say that it is the daughter of that son who keeps the

established laws or customs of a family going in their proper way.

It is the ParA Sakti Devi who does not allow deviations in the

established laws. She maintains the progressive path towards

emancipation for it is not in one birth alone that perfection can be

attained.

Those who are not capable of grasping the truth about Atman, have to

continue to stick to ritualistic laws for more Janmas [births] in a

proper lineage. That is the grace of PrautrI.
