kireetam vairancam pariharapurah kaitabhabhidah

kathorey kotheerey skhalasi jahi jambhaari makutam

pranamreshvey teyshu prasabha mupa yaatasya bhavanam

bhavasyabhyutthaney tava parajanoktirvijayatey

(beware the) Crown of Virinci(and) Avoid (the one in) Front (the crown of)

Kaitabhaa's Destroyer

Hard Crown(beware and) Stumble Not(on) Jambhaari's(Indra's) Head(lying on your

way)

(these gods are) Kneeling in Obedience, (while) Your Consort (arrives

unannounced and) In Haste You Move (to the front of your) Palace

(for) Honouring (your visitor and while) Your Attendants Speak (to warn you,

you) Triumph (over every thing)

This verse emphasises Devi's Supremacy. It also indicates the form in which

she is to be worshipped. She is a queen who lives in luxury surrounded by her

attendants in her palace. No one can enter this palace. Therefore the gods who

wish to pray to her kneel at the entrance with heads bowed. When her husband

comes to visit her unannounced she gets up in haste and moves to receive him.

She is to move through all the gods who are prostrating before her. In her

anxiety to receive her husband she kicks aside the heads and crowns in her

way.The gods may be pleased that her feet touched them. But her female

attendants are worried that the hard crowns they wear may hurt her feet. So they

warn her " Here is crown of Brahma, beware! in front is Hari and there is Indra,

step away from his crown. " The emphasis is both on her supreme power and her

total loyalty and devotion to her husband.

Yantra is 2 identical equilateral triangles one upward pointing and other

downward pointing intersecting each other. All the 6 corners have tridents.

Bijaksharam " Kleem " is in the centre of the Hexagon formed by the intersecting

triangles.

Expected result of Upasana is the power to subjugate and tame even the wildest

and most uncontrollable men.
