[913] VarunArcitA : She who is worshipped by Varuna.

In ancient mythology Varuna is the name of Aditya, usually associated

with Mitra. The dazzling brilliance and munificent magnanimity of the

Sun comes from the supreme power called ParA Sakti. The glory of

supremacy in the world is favoured to the Sun as a result of his

earnest prayer to the Mother.

 

In the latter mythology, Varuna is taken to be the controller of the

western quarter and of the ocean. His prayer to the deity of

intelligence grants him the power of keeping peaceful balance in the

universe
