Guest guest
Namaste Vikrant: I wonder if kundalini is a real energy or simply an evolving state of consciousness. Many focus on this mysterious energy so that they can awaken it and become a master. Does this energy/ awakened state of consciousness evolve us into divine beings? Our physical self is the monkey, the primate, but the evolved self is god/ or ultra human. People do all sorts of things to awaken this energy, but shouldn't they simply seek wisdom. Peace, Shankari Vikrant <free_for_blue wrote: of all the books i have read on kundalini and chakras till now,the book listed below here is the best that i have known so far..i feel this book provides most detailed info on kundalini in a easy to understand language and is a must read for any kundalini aspirant... the book is - ''Kundalini Tantra by Swami Satyananda Saraswati'' Vikrant Fussy? Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, This is a good question! My thoughts about this is to find balance between your feminine(Shakti) & masculine (Shiva) qualities. If you are councious of both within you, then you can achieve kundalini, but it won't come by itself, there's a lot of focus to do on it. Conciousness & energy are gained only throught wisdom; the knowledge of God given to you/within you. They don't exist seperately. But again, Im not an expert, these are only my thoughts. Forgive me if I am wrong. Pranams, Ambika Shankari Kali <shankari_kali wrote: Namaste Vikrant: I wonder if kundalini is a real energy or simply an evolving state of consciousness. Guest guest
if the saying 'aham brahmasmi' means 'i am not this body, i am spirit soul' some paradox, or something is presented as the body tries to internalize the source energy. perhaps this is the problem the celebrated yogin gopi krishna had in his story of painful kundalini return. friends, be careful and do not go mad. Guest guest
1] Namaste Ambika: Is kundalini a real energy coiled at our first chakra waiting to be awakened or is it a way of looking at things. For example, Buddhists go into deep meditation and emerge with almost superhuman mental capacity, and extra sensitive intuition. Is this kundalini? In Hinduism how does kundalini change our perspective on things? 2] Namaste Mikal: We are energy which is what body and spirit are. They work together. That's why the path of yoga has hatha yoga. I think Tantrics believe God/Goddess is immanent in the physical world. Anyway, I have heard stories about Gopi Krishna, but I haven't read his book. Now I'm going to play the devil's advocate here, so please forgive me if this question sounds odd. Now, some Christians speak in tongues or in other words when they feel God's spirit, they begin speaking a foreign language. My question is this. What Gopi Krishna did the moving from one yoga position to another, the back pains, the head aches, is this like speaking in tongues? Here's an interesting website about his experience. http://www.om-guru.com/html/saints/gopi.html 3] Joanna-- No. You can do it anytime. You can say the chakra mantras etc. It does not mean it will awaken, however.
Guest guest
It is said that Devi lives in the root chakra and Shiva in the crown chakra. When we find balance, Devi & Shiva become One, and kundalini is awaken. For the rest I dont know Ambika Shankari Kali <shankari_kali wrote: 1] Namaste Ambika: Is kundalini a real energy coiled at our first chakra waiting to be awakened or is it a way of looking at things. Guest guest
Most of these paths are walking on a knife's edge. Thats why there is need for a guide who has traversed these. The methodology used is to give simple sadhanas so that a person unconciously travese. But the moment one is enarmoured with diddhis and start running after them the paths naturally close tight and while the person has the illusion o progress the path is really closed and he makes no progress. Siddhis are there to traverse the path not for mere enjoyment. joannapollner <joannapollner wrote: Shouldn't one bee initiated into kundalini tantra before meditating on chakras? joanna > > of all the books i have read on kundalini and chakras till now,the book listed below here is the best that i have known so far..i feel this book provides most detailed info on kundalini in a easy to understand language and is a must read for any kundalini aspirant... > the book is - > ''Kundalini Tantra by Swami Satyananda Saraswati'' > > Vikrant > Moody friends.
