Meaning:

Seeing the austerity taken up by the young breast, floral plait Lady,

Going with the motive and realizing well Her quality,

giving the desired boon of accepting Her,

the King of celestials, forehead-eye Lord

- the town He resided when asked -

it is the thirukkalayanallUr where in the neighborhood

where beetle hums near flower buds,

six-legged (beetle) singing melody,

embellished peacocks dancing colorful garden,

near the sugarcane, black kuvaLai flower sleeping field

lotus faces bloom!!

Notes:

1. First part of the song is dedicated to the great austerity

of pArvati devi for which God gave Himself as the boon.

The second part is the poetic depiction of the

pictureque morning at thirukkalayanallur -

kuvaLai goes to sleep and lotus blooms wide.

2. kurmbai - young; vETTal - to seek; curumbu -

beetle.
