The last few days, I've been thinking too about this whole thing and how I really reel about all these. I do not feel good about it all, but I feel I have to do what I have to do. I remembered after Mother Theresa death. A lot of things emerge mostly trying to discret her and calling her a lot of unpleasant names. It hurts me when i read those remarks because Mother Theresa was like a role model to me. I held her image in high esteem since as a young nurse, seeing her holding a dying destitute in her arms. Nevertheless I read all those unplesant remarks with an open mind. It have not blurred or damaged the image I have of Mother Theresa infact she have become more crystallised. Dosent matter if she is a Christian, what she have done to humanity is divine. Others may have not agree with me, but these are my views of her and will be forever. As I have always believe, if you look at the good that will emerge from all these, then good will it be. Thank you once again. An Update on the group Homepage. With the blessings of my guru, I am in the process of scanning the Panchastavi [the Pentad of hymns of Kundaliniyoga] and inserting the commentaries for the Nithyas Devi. I will not post it in the group. For those who are interested, kindly refer to the homepage periodically. Its work in progress.
Guest guest
The whole path is merely thoughts of it. Let go of notions of a path and it clears away miraculously and one can breathe for a spell. But then, I call that Bhavani. - " joannapollner " <joannapollner Thursday, September 20, 2007 11:03 AM Some thoughts > Dear fellow Human souls > > Under careful consideration and few kind hearted e-mails the overall > aspect of Shakti Study in this group is good , I will stay for I see the > overall good I have learned here , Such as Devis Names and its > translations , Saundarya Lahari , pictures of Devi etc... simply > because of One comment that is really just One makes no sense for hasty > actions ( maybe that is lesson in itself ) . Guest guest
It's funny you feel so strongly about Mother Teresa Nora, because when I was asking people to try to give to an old folk's home in Kolkata it seemed the world was against me. I even said I would pay for puja for all who give even a little, at Tarapeeth, but yet nobody cared. - " NMadasamy " <nmadasamy > > Well hello Joaana. I am really really happy to see you back. When the first time I saw Mother Theresa's picture, I don't even know she is Mother Theresa. I dont even know she is a christian nun. All I see an image of a beautiful soul. As I personally believe, Divinity is universal: Limitless and boundless. And the essence of J.Krishnamurthy teachings : Truth is a pathless land. Maybe your approach is wrong, have you ever thought about it? We have a lot of it here, people walking around with so called official receipt from the so and so home asking for donation. But when I actually go to the said home, they either do not exist or the home have no knowledge whatsoever that somebody is collecting on their behalf or in their name. This is the nature of what's happening around us in the name of Charity. Abuse of public generosity in the name of charity is abuse. Even if you try to cover it with white or yellow cloth to make it look pure and honest, is still abuse. To me its an outright CHEATING and GREED. Then there's the opportunist, an organisation provide service in helping a home to raise fund for them but they will get 50% of the total amount collected. Right or wrong I really dont know. But if I want to donate to any organisation, I do not ask from others, I withdrew from what I have and give what is within my means. Good friends who trust me, will send in money directly and I will submit it on their behalf directly and get an official receipt as prove. But yes! I myself would not donate to anybody who approach me on the street. If I do not have the money, I offer my time, energy and the skills DEVI have given me. Since I like to sew and I know I'm quite good at it, I will go around collecting left over materials from my tailor friends. What do I do with these materials, I convert them into bags, bedsheets etc. Things I know people will buy and use in their home. The proceeds of the sale will go the home. How I price them. I look at the market price and lower it slightly. I would tell the potential customer, this is my basic price, but if you feel you want to give more because it's for a home, you are always welcome. The choice is up to the customer. In this present moment as I believe, money is the most easiest thing to offer because its abundance and easy to get. What is precious for us now is time and energy and not many willing to part with it. We can spend hours and hours waiting in line to watch the latest Sivaji movie but we cant accomodate the time to spend one hour to help up in a charity home. What to do.. this is how things are. I did say that I still read her teachings and stil have a pic of her infornt of me. In my opinion this whole accusation against the Christian propoganda we must look carefully. Why we always blame others for our own weakness? You have remind me manytime, we must look within outself, our weakness and find correction. If those accusation against the Ammachi org [ please read again, I have said I have nothing against AMMA but her org ] is true, then something must be done. If you all Ammachi devotee really claim you all love her etc, then do the right things. Send in a petition or what ever and demand for an explaination. If the AMMA org is honest, they should entertain your request. THAT IS THE RIGHT THING FOR ALL OF YOU TO DO? I remembered a conversation : Guru : Nora, you're harsh to that young man. Nora : yes I am. I will send him an IM and say sorry. Guru : do that. and DEVI will bless you I came back 5 mins later Nora : I just chatted with the young man. he is not angry at all but you see, I still say sorry to him not because I want DEVI's blessings, I do it because its the right thing. Guru : Yes as Shakta we do what is right. Blessings is not important. With this I end. I offer myself at the lotus feet of my guru. With this I shall depart myself from this whole forum and just focus on the homepage. I have nothing to say anymore
Guest guest
There is a saying " You should not swim in the same river twice " , Kochu here is absolutely right , church with all its means and power always tried to get rid off Shakti Power all feminine aspects pretty much wiped if You ask me made into subservient genderless figures, I know a lot about their History all their females Saints are simply subservient to the High powered Pontiffs and Bishops and look what they tried to do to Saint Francis besides thousand of women burned & tortured in the name of Jesus Christ Shakta worshipers simply considered Witches (many gypsies who migrated from India) and that institution still wants to reclaim more fame in India , Asia and South America better watch out for their charity methods, You can not really compare Amma org and the roman church. Then comes aspect of organizations and yes while they might have issues its far from destroying Devi worship this saying I do not belong here . There are plenty of other more respectful groups. > > , sankara menon <kochu1tz@> > wrote: > > > > I am a baid feller!! But Nora dear!!
