Guest guest
Beloved family, Namaste. Guru Purnima was simply awesome. After chanting the Guru Gita, Maa began to sing, but it was her second sound (I think) " Jai Guru, Jai Guru " and then the dedication to Sri RamaKrishna that really opened my heart. The devotees danced to their heart's content. When the singing was done and devotees bowed at Guru's Feet to offer malas Maa said - " repeat mantra loud " and hearing the devotees respond so beautifully was truly an inspiration for me. Then another devotee offered pada puja, and as each devotees approached Gurujis for blessing, a constant and loving chant of mantras in respect to Guru could be heard .... did anyone notice the look of bliss on Maa and Swamiji face? .... all i could ask is Lord why am i here and not there. ... at times it is so hard to understand that we are only apart by limited consciousness. Last evening, as i sat absorbing Maa's singing into my being, something that She said in a similar setting once, (in the same way that she spoke about the importance of Guru in one's life last night while preparing for to start another song) came to mind and remain with me up to now. Maa said .. (not exact words) when we clean do not only do so on the outside but on the inside, we clean the house but what about the cupboards, are they tidy? Why did this replay in my mind at that time? Maybe i need to do some inner cleaning of this human cupboard before my desire of being closer to Her can be fulfilled. Beloved, Maa, with faith I offer myself to You, please gramt me pure devotion to Your Beloved Lotus Feet. Pranam Kaliananda
Guest guest
Namaste Group: I would like to know what we should do if we do not have a guru today. I was reading in " Tantric Yoga " by Dr. David Frawley that we could pray to Shiva Dakshinamurti to initiate us into a mantra. Has anyone else ever heard of this? Does anyone know where there is a depiction of Shiva Dakshinamurti on the web somewhere? Jai Maa! Shankari

Guest guest
Namaste: " The Guru is within " is easily said, but difficult to understand, and frequently misunderstood completely. This is why we need someone to guide us through this process. Shanti Om, Shankari Enquire: 'Who am I?' and you will find the answer. Look at a tree: from one seed arises a huge tree; from it comes numerous seeds, each one of which in its turn grows into a tree. No two fruits are alike. Yet it is one life that throbs in every particle of the tree. So, it is the same Atman everywhere. --Sri Anandamayi Ma http://shankarikali.wordpress.com/ --- On Tue, 7/7/09, nama siva <nama_sivam wrote: Guru is self--soul-- Atma--spirit m.namasivayam
