Among the three main goddesses of Hindu culture Goddess Saraswati is one.

Goddess Lakshmi, Goddess Saraswati and Goddess Paravathy are the three main

female powers. They are called as icha shakthi, crea shakthi and Gnana shakthi.

Icha shakthi means the power render of whatever is wished for in materialistic

angle. This is governed by Goddess Lakshmi. Crea shakthi means the power render

of strength. This is governed by Goddess Paravathy. Gnana shakthi means the

power render of knowledge. This is governed by Goddess Saraswati.

In the Vedic system she is also the goddess of music and the arts. Goddess

Saraswati is identified with the River Saraswati. She is considered as consort

of Brahma. She is the daughter of Durga. Durga is no one else but Goddess

Paravathy.

 

Thus Goddess Saraswati is seen alongside Goddess Durga during Durga Puja

celebrations along with her sister Lakshmi and her brothers Ganesh and

Karthikeya.

 

Saraswati's children are the Vedas, which are the oldest sacred texts of

Hinduism.

 

According to Vedas, Maha Saraswati is the presiding " Goddess of the Final

episode of Devi Mahatmya " .

 

Goddess Saraswati's husband is Brahma. Brahma was generated from the `Naabhi'

(naval) part of Sri Vishnu. This leads to the argument that Brahma is the son of

Sri Vishnu. Thus Saraswati is the daughter is law of Goddess Lakshmi.

 

Thus wealth health and education are inter-related. Thus - when we pray Goddess

Saraswati we get every thing which includes wealth and strength!
