Guest guest
Hi Carie,Looking at the pictures, it looks like a pretty traditional temple. Just be sure to take your shoes off at the door or in the shoe room. Wear your nicest clothes, and usually in temples like this, (but not always) the ladies sit on one side and the men sit on the other. Take a few dollars to put on the tray when the priest comes around with prasad and use your right hand to take prasad. If they ask, you can say you're a Hindu and you've come for Darshan of the Lord. It's o.k. to say that you're new at this.God bless you, and have a great time. Please pray for our beloved Mother and for Swamiji while your'e there.Jai Maa !Carie M <m.cirene wrote: Greetings all, I was contemplating visiting the local temple. I've never been there before so a little unsure of what attire is, what the different times are when they do things. http://www.hindutempleorlando.org/index.htm Blessings, Carie -- Explore http://www.shreemaa.org and get enlightened!!!"Every religion is a path to God." ~Ramakrishna Check out the all-new Mail beta - Fire up a more powerful email and get things done faster.
