Guest guest
Namaste On the highest level, when we are full of love, in the bhav, living in the moment, we know She is everything. We are in tune with Her desire, and life flows. In that state, there are no problems, only situations. And life is full and everything is Grace. When we are partially aware, living in the cloud of delusion, we do not feel in tune with Her. We worry, fret, and fuss. So, what to do? How to live in these clouded states of consciousness? It is my personal experience that the more I fall into step with Maa's teachings, and emulate Her and Swami, the more I see and feel Her support, love, and guidance. It is a loving relationship which binds me to Her. Not fear or worry. She is rays of light, lighting the path in the midst of darkness. When the thought of worry arises, She comes too. Which thought do you choose? There is one simple question She whispers in my head and heart as the impulse for action arises: " will this action take me closer to God?, or away from God? I try my best to go towards God. I pray for Her to help me. And She does. Everytime. Sometimes the path She leads me seems very roundabout, but it always leads me to the highest place. I have to trust Her. To trust fully, one has to surrender one's individuality, one's ego. So, I have to surrender to Her. This is hard, and painful. My ego thinks it knows best how to life my life. And when it feels hard, and my faith gets tested, I pray for strength. She is always there for me. Always. I can share one final thought: whenever my family has a trial, and doubts or fears arise, we remember the story of the King's Cut Finger. Swami tells it best, but I will give the short version: The King was tired of his best friend's constant good humor and faith. He always said, " God has a plan for everything, everything happens for a reason. " So, one day, the King cut his finger peeling an apple. His friend said, " God has a plan for everything, everything happens for a reason. " Enraged, the King put his friend in jail and stormed off on his daily hunting trip. In his anger, he wondered into a area of the forest far from his normal path, and became lost. Suddenly he was surrounded by savage warroriers. They bound him and took him to their camp. Their leader exclaimed, " Well, we have a fine specimen to offer in worship today. Prepare him for the sacrifice. " As they bagan to prepare him for the sacrifice, they discovered his cut finger. When they told their leader, he said: " He is damaged, we cannot offer him. Send him away. " Quickly the King departed and returned home. Once home,he immediately ordered his guard to bring his friend from jail. When he saw his friend, he recounted his trials and tribulations. At the end of his story he asked his friend: " Why me? " His friend replied, " If I had not been in jail, I would have been on the hunting trip with you and I would have been the sacrifice. I did not have a cut on my finger. Therefore, God has a plan for everything, everything happens for a reason. " May this story help you as much as it has helped my family.
