Dear Edward ~ you have perfectly stated, and apparently effectively live, what I have come to believe ... at the very core, all spirituality belief systems share the same essential truths. The differences are in the way these truths are stated, the layering of symbolism ... the outer garments, if you will. Thank you ~ Linda P.S. This also reminds me of an experience. I was in a store in Boise, Idaho. I loved to go there, as it was owned and run by a Hindu family and had many Hindu items, ayurvedic soaps and beauty products, etc. One time when I went up to pay, I asked the woman behind the counter if there was a Hindu temple in Boise. She seemed unsure what to say, but said yes. I told her how happy I was (sadly, I never was able to go there). She looked up at me shyly from underneath her lashes and said, "we really worship only one God." And I realized she was concerned about the "heathen mark" of worshiping many Gods. I smiled at her and said, "Oh, yes, but isn't it wonderful that this One God manifests in so many delightful forms." I'll never forget her smile.AOL now offers free email to everyone.
