Namaste

Tuesday night, the 20th, near the end of Sundar Kunda chanting lesson

at the Devi Mandir, Srini asked a question about the effect of

chanting with pranayama on the chakras.

Swami gave a short but very powerful response. It bears much thought

and further discussion.

I want to ask him more questions on the topic then will post the

response.

In the meantime, I suggest listening to the lesson. You will have to

forward thru the chanting portion to get to the " Q and A " near the end

of the hour class. however, the chanting was great, so listen, chant

along, and enjoy.

To summarize his talk: chanting any text with pranayama, will full

attention, brings the kundalini up from the lower 3 chakras,

represented as man's lower animal nature, to the upper chakras. The

goal is to unit Parviti / Sita {representing Shakti / Nature}, with

Shiva / Ram, {representing Pure Consciousness} in the crown charka.

This is the marriage of Shiva and Shakti in Mount Kailish, Shiva /

Shakti: Consciousness and Nature, united in the highest chakra of our

human Temple, Mount Kailish

Swami said his first experience of Nirvilkalpa Samadhi was the result

of chanting a text in a specific fashion. As he spoke of the

experience, He took His energy to the crown shakra, and sat in bliss

with his eyes closed, and continued to talk describing his experience

of oneness with nature, with the entire creation.

As we sat experiencing some of the energy and bliss of his powerful

vision, we all knew that he will lead us that that experience, that he

will not rest until we all experience the marriage of Shiva and Shakti

in our crown chakra.

Please tune into the Mandir about 5AM- 5:30 am, every day this week,

and watch Maa chanting the Chandi at the homa. This is the experience

of a lifetime. How many lifetimes we prayed in solitude to have the

Darshan of Divine Mother? Who knows.

Now, She has answered our prayers and we can be with Her every day in

the Temple of the Divine Mother.

This is a great Navaratri.

Jai Maa Jai Swami
