Guest guest
Question from Rosetta:How is the mala the Great Measurement of Consciousness? I'm a little confused about what this means.Swamiji's response:The mala is called Maha Maya, the Great Measurement of Consciousness, because during japa all our attention goes to the mantra, the mala, and the deity. Therefore, it has limited our awareness, or defined or measured our awareness, by the expression of the mantra and the act of japa.Question from Rosetta:How/why does the mala contain all energy as its intrinsic nature?Swamiji's response:Again, when we pay attention to it, the mala becomes the repository of all energy. It is an object conceived in divinity, created in divinity, used in divinity, whose only purpose is inspire divinity within us.
