Guest guest
Hi, how's it going! Did you help Chandi swipe the head from the Great Ego with Her great double-edged sword? [hurray!!!] Did you growl with passionate determination, spittle flying from your mouth, your lips red and tongue stuttering (I added the spittle part myself - I like it!) saying, " Roar and roar, you fool! For so long as I drink this spirit, roar so much as you like. Your death is in my hands, and when I have finished drinking, soon the Gods will be roaring! " ? Did you? Did you shake your fist, like Henny (that was darn cute, Henny!)? [Not a shrinking violet, are you?] Well, I didn't either...but I really enjoyed this passage this time. Thank you Henny! I'd never really taken the time to appreciate it before. It is certainly the most dramatic passage in the second episode. My process went pretty well this time...chapter two went quickly, chapter three was a bit slower (that gayatri chandah), and chapter four went quickly, too. Although I took more than an hour and a half to complete it. The toes on my right foot hurt though (where they get jammed between thigh and calf)! Well, tomorrow (day four) we begin the third episode: Devata Pranam and Chapters Five and Six. See you in the heavens! Jai Maa! Guest guest
Chris,I have a question. I wonder why Swamiji translates the Chandi Path without using the word, "demon". He also does not use the names of the two demon generals that Chandi later fights. One demon she stabs in the heart and then another demon jumps out of his heart, and she chops that demon's head off. (I know the scenes are a bit violent.)Did he just wish to avoid the violent vocabulary? Thanks,Shankari KaliChris Kirner <chriskirner1956 wrote: Hi, how's it going!
