Guest guest
Hey! How did it go? I think this sankalpa (all of them, really) is important - as you all do, I'm sure - and deserves a little something posted every day, even if it's just a short note, so, here it is! This recitation went really fast for me. I enjoyed it a lot (I enjoy it all a lot, I guess - I must, because I want to keep saying so!). I hated to leave my Divine Mother surrounded by a vast army of thoughts bent on her subjugation, but I have a feeling She'll get the better of them all tomorrow Here's a question that came to my mind today, and I wonder what you all think...What do you think is that " excellent spirit " She Who Tears Apart Thought was drinking again, and again, that created " wild ecstasy " and allowed Her to destroy the Great Ego with such ease (yesterdays recitation)? Tomorrow (today, really - I'm writing this at about 8:30 A M on Saturday) we get to my favorite (OK, one of my favorites) part, where Kali manifests with such great energy and just devours everything! See you on the battlefield! Saturday - Day Five (past the half-way mark!) The Kushandika (Devata Pranam) and Chapters Six and Seven. To all of my fellow sankalpians: Your energy keeps buoying me up and pushing me along, so to you I say, " namastasyai , namastasyai , namastasyai, namo namah. " Jai Maa! Guest guest
Namaste Chrisji, I have wondered myself about the 'excellent spirit'. And I don't know, but here's an attempt (and I am open to other suggestions:)): since there is some emphasis on the colour red in these lines ('red eyes' and 'Her mouth became red'), I associate the drink with passion, with the passionate Love of Life, the sheer extasy of Being. When our consciousness becomes completely filled with the Love of Life (Life in whatever name or form, loving all the transformations), even the Great Ego must lose his head and become a Lover. Guest guest
Yeah, I'm thinking passionate devotion, or perhaps the distilled essence of the devotion of all the Gods. This is an esoteric, experiential thing, I think, associated with the kundalini, the sexual energy and ojas, emotion/passion, amrit, and the lunar energy, all of which are associated with water or liquid in some way. It's interesting! Jai Maa! Chris , " henny_v_i " <henny_v_i wrote: > > Namaste Chrisji, > > I have wondered myself about the 'excellent spirit'.
