Guest guest
Today was the eighth day of the Sankalpa. The main Chandi Path is over. I am always thrilled to pray on any Ashtami day, as it always reminds me of Durga Ashtami and Janmashtami ( when both MahaMaya and Lord Krishna were born.) This Sankalpa has been very special to me because I am reciting the SRI SRI CHANDI after a long time. I have not been able to sit down for longer sessions because of Gout which has affected my knees and feet. But BY MAA's grace I am better now and am able to sit for an hour. Like MAA's Victory over evil thoughts, I feel I have scored a Victory over Gout. MAA's Grace. Looking forward to reciting SRI SRI CHANDI every month. Pranams to SREE MAA and SWAMIJI. Jai MAA !!! Guest guest
It is so wonderful! I, on the other hand, am chanting the Chandi for the very first time. I probably surprised myself the most by hanging in there and sitting in one asana and completing the entire sankalpa. I made numerous mistakes, stumbled and bungled my way through the pronunciations, and somehow reached my goal. So, today, on the last day, while I read the ksama prarthana and the devyaparadhaksamapan stotram, it seemed to speak to me personally and I choked up. And, now that it is over, it seems empty and I want to start all over again, to keep doing it until I get it right. Chris, I want to say thank you, thank you and thank you for starting us on this sankalpa. Guest guest
Congratulations, Papia! I'm so glad this sankalpa was an adventure in sadhana for you! It's exciting! I really don't deserve much in the way of thanks. I followed an initial impulse, and created a few posts. Swamiji did all the heavy lifting! If you found the sankalpa a blessing you should offer your gratitude to him. Jai Maa! Chris , " roy.papia " <roy.papia wrote: > > It is so wonderful! Guest guest
Dear Tukaram, Thank you so much for your kind words. I look forward to the day when I can complete the entire recitation in one sitting - sounds rather daunting at this point. Guest guest
Dear Tukaram, I will keep those words in my mind too.
