Guest guest
Namaste Everybody, We took at auto to the center of Chennai - we drove by the Mylapore Tank and saw the gopurams of the beautiful temples there and bowed down to Lord Shiva and Karpagambal Devi in our hearts. The shops were open and there was a great hustle and bustle - vendors selling things, ladies in colourful sarees, children running, and lots of traffic, horns and shouts! From this we walked into the open gates of RK Mission, Chennai. The Temple standing tall, besides shone the full moon. The sounds of the arati resounded all around. Quickly we took off our chappals and ran inside to see Thakur Ramakrishna - Larger than life, clad in a beautiful pink dhoti. " Kandana Bhava..... " a monk was showing Thakur Ramakrishna deepam and there were about a 100 people there. Ladies on one side and gents on the other. The music was so melodious, there was silence in the singing, silence in the crowd, silence in the stillness. After arati, some prayers were chanted in the most beautiful melodious tones. Our eyes filled with tears as we heard " Sarva Mangala.... " Later they sang two bhajans - one for Thakur and one for Sarada Maa. Suddenly, everybody rose and walked out. We left with our hearts full of love for our Beloved Thakur Ramakrishna! We bow again and again to Him and to the Holy Feet of Shree Maa and the Lotus Feet of our much adored Swamiji! Jai Maa!
