Namaste Swami,

A friend would like to try the mantra method outlined in Kashyapa Sutra #4 in The Guru and the Goddess for surrendering negative states and inviting postive ones.

She feels she suffers from self-hatred and would like to experience self-love.

Though perhaps not a bija mantra, would "nishumba" (self deprecation) be the best term to use for a mala dedicated to self-hatred, or would the bija mantra "grim" (hatred) be best?

Is "prema" the best term for self-love or is there a more specific sanskrit term?

Thanks,
