Guest guest
Namaste: Performing a 9 planet homa for your husband is a wonderful and powerful prayer. Your own experience has demonstrated to you the effect chanting the mantras for the planets. The homa magnifies the effect. Also, you and he can sit around the fire and perform the mantras together, offering and chanting. The fire is a great group activity. Tonight at the Mandir, Maa asked us to chant mantras for peace and healing, and 5 of us chanted together. It was very powerful .Once you have completed the 9 planet mantras, you can perform a mala of any mantra which your husband desires. The Shiva healing mantra, Mahamurtinjaya is great as well as the Navarana mantra. Check out the web site and locate Maa chanting a number of the mantras She uses. Have a wonderful homa and happy birthday to your husband. This is the first time I have ever done this. I would like to do some auspicious prayers for my husband on his birthday. Are there any other pujas or homas that are auspicious on one's birthday? > > Also is this appropriate to do? I have another question. I woke up today, and it felt really, really peaceful. Guest guest
Thank you for your reply, Vish. I'll try it out once my Hanuman Puja book comes in. I may have to "wing in" with some of the ingredients though. I remember Swami talking about a small fire in a bowl in his chat about homas. I may try that. I feel comfortable with it.
