Guest guest
Hi! I just received notification in my inbox that there is going to be a synchronized meditation for global peace set for tomorrow, Sunday, at 2:00 pm Pacific Daylight Time. Swami Veda Bharati has requested support along with Dalai Lama, Lif Ulmann, Vaclav Havel, Pir Vilayat Inayat-Khan, Peter Ustinov, Mikhail Gorbchev, Desmond Tutu, Edgar Mitchell, Peter Gabriel and many other dignitaries (including, now, our own Swamiji who has added his endorsement). According to the notification I received, " This world-wide meditation will be monitored by sophisticated scientific instruments through the Nobel Prize Candidate, Ervin Laszlo to see if a large concerted meditative mind-field can make a difference of the collective consciousness and the level of violence on the planet. " As we all know, peace is near and dear to Mother's heart. I think this very small individual contribution to peace in this world will be appreciated by her. For those of us who are doing the sarva badha mantra sankalpa, I would suggest doing japa of that mantra at the specified time. For those of us who are not, japa of any mantra with which you are attuned, with the intention of creating peace, should be good. I would also suggest a duration of practice of at least fifteen to thirty minutes (no duration was mentioned in the email, but the idea is to enter into meditation). I hope you will all consider setting aside a small amount of time tomorrow at 2:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time to participate in this experimental event for peace. Everyone will certainly benefit from our group effort (whether or not they'll be able to actually measure it). If you're having trouble converting times in you location, check this site out: http://www.worldtimeserver.com/time_converter.aspx?f=US-CA I sincerely hope you can join me. Jai Maa! Guest guest
Dear Chris: Thank you so much for this invitation. I checked my email just before 2:00, so I was able to participate, by chanting, meditating, and holding a vision of all people of the earth surrounded in a web of divine love/light. I was going to start the sarva badha mantra sankalpa in June but this event has inspired me to start it now. What a blessing, thank you thank you. I also meditated on that section in the opening to the Chandi, beginning, " Om, Peace in the heavens, Peace on the earth " ending with " all that is, is at Peace, all that is perceived, each and everything, altogether for us, om santih santih santih. " May we all be clear vessels of Her peace, today and every day. " O Hidden Life vibrant in every atom O Hidden Light! shining in every creature; O Hidden Love! embracing all in Oneness; May each who feels himself as one with Thee, Know he is also one with every other. " Annie Besant Jennifer Oh, and thank you too for your response and resources about how to do the ritual offerings for Chandi! Very helpful. , " Chris Kirner " <chriskirner1956 wrote: > > Hi! > > I just received notification in my inbox that there is going to be a > synchronized meditation for global peace set for tomorrow, Sunday, at > 2:00 pm Pacific Daylight Time. > > Swami Veda Bharati has requested support along with Dalai Lama, Lif > Ulmann, Vaclav Havel, Pir Vilayat Inayat-Khan, Peter Ustinov, Mikhail > Gorbchev, Desmond Tutu, Edgar Mitchell, Peter Gabriel and many other > dignitaries (including, now, our own Swamiji who has added his > endorsement). > > According to the notification I received, " This world-wide meditation > will be monitored by sophisticated scientific instruments through the > Nobel Prize Candidate, Ervin Laszlo to see if a large concerted > meditative mind-field can make a difference of the collective > consciousness and the level of violence on the planet. Guest guest
So glad you were able to take part, Jennifer! I'm also pleased to hear you've begun the sarva badha sankalpa. Have you " officially notified " Nanda so she can forward your name to Swamiji for blessings? (I think if you haven't, you just did!) I've been slacking on my sarva badha practice lately, but it's a very powerful shakti that just draws you right into it, and for me at least, it seems that Mother's always there, hanging-out in the background.
